Make sure the SD card is inserted into the gateway by having a look at the SD card slot. The SD card contains the operating system - without it the gateway won't start up.
Mount the antenna on the gateway by turning it clockwise.
Connect one end of an ethernet cable to the gateway, the other end to your router.
Plug in the power adapter to an AC outlet and connect the gateway to the power adapter via the USB cable. It will take ~30 seconds for the gateway to start up. You will see lights blinking on the ethernet port.
Press the green connection circle on the top right corner. A dialog box will show the internal IP address of your Canique Gateway, as soon as it is online. The Gateway - Cloud connection will show your gateway as connected if it is turned on, properly connected to your router, and your router has an internet connection.
You can use the internal IP address of the previous step by entering it in your browser to access the Canique Local Cockpit. This website will even work if your router has no connection to the internet anymore. It is served directly from your Canique Gateway, via your router. You can access the Canique Local Cockpit only from your local network (from devices in the same LAN or WiFi network as your router). You cannot access it from outside of your local network, e.g. from work or from a cellular mobile network.
Setting up Canique Climat
Open the back lid of the case and insert an 1.5V AA alkaline battery into the battery holder. Take care of the polarity or you may damage the device. You will see a + sign both on the battery holder, and on the silk screen of the PCB indicating where the positive pole of the battery should be.
After inserting the battery a (hidden) LED on the back of the PCB will blink 3x.
As soon as you've inserted the battery you will instantly see the sensor data on both cockpit.canique.com and on your local cockpit. The encryption between Canique Climat and Gateway is already setup at the factory so there is no pairing that needs to be done by you.
After your sensor is online, close the back lid of the case by using the supplied 4 screws.
